Acrylic Nails
Acrylic nails are the most popular artificial nail. You can add length to your natural nail by gluing a tip to your nail, then coating it in a liquid and powder, which hardens as the air gets to it. Your nail is then filed to your desired shape and finished off with a polish. Acrylics are long lasting and strong, however, do require regular filling – depending on how quickly your nails grow this could be every 3 – 4 weeks.

Gel Polish
Gel polish is applied 2 – 3 times to the natural nail and cured under a UV light. You can’t add length to your natural nail by having gel polish. Gel polish is a lot thinner than acrylic, and gives a more natural look. Gel polish stays shiny and doesn’t chip like regular polish. You need to get gel polish filled every 2 – 3 weeks.
